The Committee on science, education, culture and sports of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan held a session to review implementation of the Law "On protection and use of the cultural heritage sites" and the Law"On procedures of taking in and out the cultural values" in Khorezm region.

The session saw the participation of the heads of interested ministries, agencies, organizations, officials from Khorezm regional khokimiyat (the governor’s office) and other relevant territorial units, as well as the mass media, along with PMs.

The participants said at the moment the profound work has been under way in Khorezm region to carefully preserve and restore the cultural heritage sites.

The session participants said that particular work has been under way along implementing the aforementioned laws. Up to date, 208 cultural heritage sites have been registered in the province.
