MPs, representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers, ministries and department, local administrations participated at the event.

Parliamentarians noted that the programme on creation of jobs and employment for 2012 is important for ensuring social-economic stability in Uzbekistan.

It was noted that over 510,500 new jobs were created in January-June 2012, or forecast was executed with 5.5% surplus. MPs recalled that over 950,000 new jobs were created within the similar programme in 2011.

During the parliamentary hearings, MPs discussed information on creation of jobs and employment of population due to launch of new enterprises, localization programme, programme on modernization of economy, re-equipment of enterprises, creation of small and private businesses, as well as family enterprises.

MPs underlined shortages in some of the regions on creation of new jobs and enterprises. MPs called to eliminate such shortages.

Representatives of all parties and Ecologic Movement of Uzbekistan shared their opinion and views on implementation of the programme.

MPs underlined that the programme should be implemented fully and create 967,500 new jobs in the country in 2012. They also developed recommendations on implementation of the programme. MPs approved a corresponding resolution.
