Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From January to July 2024, the Republic of Uzbekistan welcomed 12,200 French citizens for tourism purposes, according to the State Statistics Agency’s press service. This figure represents an increase of 2,900 people compared to the same period last year, marking a growth of 31.2%.

The number of French citizens arriving in Uzbekistan for various travel purposes during this period was distributed as follows:

- Leisure and recreation – 10,780 people;

- Business trips – 662 people;

- Visiting relatives – 640 people;

- Commercial purposes – 43 people;

- Education – 28 people.
