Monument of Alisher Navoi opened in Shanghai
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
A monument of Alisher Navoi, an Uzbek poet and thinker, was unveiled in Shanghai, Chinese media reported.
The sculpture was opened in the territory of Shanghai University. The height of the monument is 3.6 meters and stands at 1.8 meter base.
The sculpture was opened within the observation of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relation between China and Uzbekistan.
The sculpture was designed by the late Uzbek sculptor Ravshan Mirtadjiev and completed by Chinese sculptor Ye Qing.
