Mobile operators in Uzbekistan ordered to improve communication
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- State inspection on supervision in sphere of communication, informatization and telecommunication technologies issued orders to four operator of mobile communication to improve quality of provided communication services.

The inspection underlined that the result of radiomonitoring conducted with the Center for Electromagnetic Compatibility and the analysis of monthly reports on quality indicators and downtime of base stations provided by operators, including the results of consideration of complaints revealed a number of violations by the mobile communication operators.

In particular, it was revealed the discrepancy of established norms of quality indicators of mobile services. Inspection noted that subscribers are not able to use mobile services around the clock.

Inspection noted that the densely populated areas poorly covered by mobile communication, in connection with which there are complaints from residents, living in these territories.

Inspection directed orders to mobile communication operators – COSCOM (Ucell), Unitel (Beeline), RWC (Perfectum) and Uzbektelecom (Uzmobile).

The orders demanded from mobile operators to adopt measures to comply with legislation and normative acts of Uzbekistan on rendering mobile communication services.

Currently, five mobile operators are working in Uzbekistan, including Ucell, Beeline, UMS, Uzmobile и Perfectum. Number of the mobile subscribers in Uzbekistan exceeds 22 million.
