Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Central Asian teams had a mixed fortune in the 2010 AFC Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers when Kyrgyzstan’s campaign ended with a 2-0 loss to Hong Kong while Uzbekistan recorded a 4-1 win over Iran on Monday.

Fung Kam Mui opened Hong Kong’s account three minutes after the restart at the Thanh Long Sports Centre while Ng Wing Yan doubled the advantage two minutes later.

Hong Kong will face Vietnam, who thrashed Kyrgyzstan 10-1 in the opener, in the final game on Wednesday to decide the group winner.

Nargiza Abdurasulova drew the first blood for Robert Gay’s side in the eighth minute at the Rajamangala Stadium in the Thai capital only to see Fereshteh Karimi restore the parity for Iran in the 51st minute.

Later, three goals in the space of eight minutes kept Uzbekistan in contention for a berth in the tournament proper.

Substitute Zebo Juraeva scored her side’s second in the 70th minute while midfielder Komola Usmanova scored a brace in the 76th and 78th minutes.

Thailand, who defeated the Central Asians 6-1 in the opening match, will meet Iran in the final group game on Wednesday.
