Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 10 October, the Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan (MITC) Shukhrat Sadikov met with Kjell Morten Johnsen, the Chief Operating Officer of Veon Group.

At the meeting, the parties noted successful experience of Beeline company in the mobile market of Uzbekistan, which introduces new technologies, as well as actively participates in social life of the country.

According to the Ministry, issues of further cooperation on introduction of modern telecommunication technologies and services, in particular the expansion of the fourth generation network were discussed.

Noting the high level of telecommunications development in Uzbekistan, the Chief Operating Officer of Veon expressed intention in further expanding the investment program for providing modern telecommunications services.
