Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 19 July, Minister of Transport Ilkhom Makhkamov met with representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) delegation led by the Director for Central Asia and Mongolia, Huseyin Ozhan.

The meeting focused on ongoing projects related to the development of Uzbekistan’s transport system and infrastructure.

Specifically, the discussions included the completion of the technical and economic justification for the "Tashkent-Samarkand" toll road and expediting work on projects for procuring electric buses for the city of Samarkand.

The parties also discussed potential projects for procuring electric buses for the cities of Nukus and Namangan, as well as trams for the city of Samarkand.
