Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 13 September 2024, negotiations took place between Uzbekistan's Minister of Transport Ilkhom Makhkamov and Alexander Lyuft, Chairman of STADLER Rail for the CIS countries.

The main topics of discussion included potential areas of collaboration, such as the acquisition of electric trains, training of Uzbek specialists for maintenance services, and the localization of STADLER products in Uzbekistan.

Representatives from STADLER presented a detailed overview of their experience in constructing and maintaining comfortable passenger cars for various segments.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to further explore the company's capabilities in light of the needs of Uzbekistan's passenger railway network and to develop a pricing policy for each segment of STADLER's production and maintenance in the CIS region.
