Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 17 May, Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Makhkamov met with the new Ambassador of Lithuania to Uzbekistan Egidijus Navikas.
 
At the meeting, the parties discussed aspects related to the development of cooperation between our countries in the transport sector.
 
Minister of Transport emphasized that Lithuania plays an important role for Uzbekistan in delivering supplies to European countries. In turn, Mr. Ambassador noted that the further development of cooperation between our countries in the field of transport and logistics is beneficial to both parties.
 
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on issues related to the creation of convenience for national carriers in the process of international cargo transportation, increasing the number of permit forms, and developing cooperation in the field of civil aviation.
 
Following the meeting, the parties decided on further tasks within the discussed areas of cooperation.
