Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Botir Zokirov, Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services, has been relieved of his duties. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced this during a meeting dedicated to interim economic results and tasks until the end of the year.

The head of state clarified that Botir Zokirov left his position as minister "due to health reasons." Temporarily assuming the duties of the minister will be the First Deputy Minister Sherzod Khidoyatov.

Botir Zokirov had been appointed as Minister of Construction in September 2019 by the decree of the president, with Sherzod Khidoyatov being appointed as his first deputy at that time.
