Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An illegal mining farm was discovered in Ferghana region. This was reported by the State Security Service of Uzbekistan.

The mining farm was discovered by employees of the State Security Service and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes.

According to the State Security Service, a resident of Kokand (born in 2004) organized a mining farm in a residential building without completing the necessary documents or a contract for the supply of electricity.

More than 30 mining devices were found in the mining farm. Between 2020 and 2023, the farm illegally consumed 2.79 million kWh of electricity, causing damage worth 12.37 billion soums.

A criminal case has been opened and an investigation has begun.
