The delegation of the Mininfocom visited the headquarters of Cisco in the Silicon Valley, California, within the framework of the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the United States.

Representatives of Uzbekistan held a meeting with Vice-President for Strategy, Technology and Innovation Doug Webster.

During the meeting, Cisco representatives presented the vision of the company for digitalization of the economy in the world, solutions for cyber security, smart and safe city projects based on the Internet of Things (IoT), as well as solutions for interaction and communication in the team.

Negotiations were held on further cooperation between Cisco and the Mininfocom on such directions as direction of developing a strategy for development of a safe and smart city in Uzbekistan.

Following the talks, an agreement on intentions and further cooperation was signed. The parties intend to cooperate in such areas as support and transfer of experience in the concept of smart cities and IoT, assistance in improving cybersecurity management practices, participation in the digital transformation of Uzbekistan through the development of information and communication technologies in the country, etc.
