Microsoft Educational Class opens at Inha University in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Microsoft Corporation, a global leader in software development, opened its first educational class at Inha University in Tashkent (IUT).

Rector of Inha University in Tashkent Sarvar Babakhodjaev and Education lead of Microsoft CIS Nurlan Zhanybek opened the educational class at presence of representatives of the universities of Uzbekistan, Microsoft, students and staff of IUT.

IT-class is equipped with modern all-in-one computers with installed licensed software and solutions, which were provided by Microsoft at no cost, as well as additional equipment, necessary for holding lessons.

Now, students of Inha University in Tashkent will receive opportunity to improve their knowledge on Microsoft software. At the same time, it is planned to use IT-class to hold various master-classes, trainings and seminars for officials of the state bodies, staff of private companies and population.

Microsoft Education Day was held within the opening ceremony of the educational class, which was attended by the representatives of Tashkent-based universities. During the event, Microsoft representatives presented information on solutions of the corporation for educational institutions.

In particular, Microsoft has special Innovative Educators Community, which unites thousands of teachers around the world. Each year, the most innovative teachers are selected among them and they receive a chance to participate in large-scale conference E2 Educators’ Exchange in Canada.

Microsoft also actively develops its Microsoft Imagine Academy programme, participants of which can receive knowledge on modern technologies and programming. Within the Microsoft Imagine Academy along with other events, international championship on MS office apps among youth is held.

Information on free training and certification on course of Microsoft Digital Literacy was presented. The course helps users to train on use of computer and assess their knowledge.

It was noted that for the last three years, Microsoft provided an opportunity to students of Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) to use design and software development tools at no cost within its Microsoft Imagine (former DreamSpark) programme.

Rector of Inha University in Tashkent Sarvar Babakhodjaev said: “I express gratitude to Microsoft Corporation on behalf of administration of Inha University in Tashkent. Since the first days of the University, Microsoft has supported IUT. Experts of the corporation take part in master classes and guest lectures. Microsoft has held such events as Microsoft Tech Meetups and Microsoft Developer Day on our campus.”

“We are confident that this project has raised the cooperation between Microsoft Corporation and Inha University in Tashkent to a new level. The Microsoft class will help us prepare global leaders for the IT market,” he added.
