Microcreditbank joins Asian Bankers Association
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Microcreditbank open joint stock commercial bank (Uzbekistan) became member of Asian Bankers Association (ABA). The Uzbek bank was accepted to ABA at its 27th annual conference, which was held in Taipei, Taiwan in early November.

ABA was founded on 29 October 1981 as a body on assisting work of Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Asian-Pacific region. The headquarters of ABU located in Taipei.

The main aim of the association is to assist bankers and implementation of joint projects, providing information on banking activity in Asian-Pacific region, organize training for employees of member financial institutions.

ABA unites 100 leading banks from 23 countries of the Asian-Pacific region. Becoming member of the ABA, Microcreditbank opens new opportunities to itself, including participation in developing policies of banking-financial sector in international level, exchange of information and experience with foreign partners in developing microcrediting.

Microcreditbank open joint stock commercial bank was created in line with the presidential decree “On creation of joint stock commercial bank “Microcreditbank” from 5 May 2006.

During its operation, the bank rendered microfinancing services for 268 billion soums to small and private businesses, of which 200 billion soums were microloans and 68 billion soums – microleasing services.

The bank is also member of Microfinance Center on European and CIS states.
