Members of Milliy Tiklanish Party discuss their priorities
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Institute for Studying Civil Society in cooperation with the fraction of Milliy Tishlanish Democratic Party of Uzbekistan in Legislative Chamber organized a seminar “Concept: Priorities of Democratic Party of Uzbekistan Milliy Tiklanish”.

The seminar was attended by the members of party fraction at Legislative Chamber, MPs in local Council of Deputies, party members, as well as expert society.

As it is known, the Concept on further deepening democratic reforms and forming civil society in Uzbekistan, proposed by the Uzbek President Islam Karimov, is fundamental document directed at introducing of novelties to all spheres of life and further deepening democratic reforms and forming civil society.

In this context, the participants underlined that adoption of the law “On introduction of changes and amendments to article 78, 80, 93, 96 and 98 of the Constitution of Uzbekistan” has great importance for more balanced distribution of authorities among three subjects of state power – President, Legislative and Executive powers. This is new stage of modernization of political systems. In this context, the party representatives underlined necessity to boost activity of the central parties’ divisions, as well as MPs of Oliy Majlis and local Deputies Councils.

Ulugbek Jalmenov, member of Milliy Tiklanish fraction at Legislative Chamber, said “Changes and amendments to the Constitution allow political parties to form the government and impact changes to its structure at necessity with such tools as vote of no confidence, consider reports of Prime Minister on actual social-economic and other issues.”

This, in its turn, strengthens opportunity for their practical action and gives new impulse for inter-party, inter-fraction competition. In this condition, the parties and fractions should strengthen quality of cadre policy of the parties and set effective interaction between their structures.

At the same time, it is planned to pay attention to activities of elected MPs in their election regions and meet their recognition through implementing their election promises and realizing tasks and goals of party programme, which is important condition for effective inter-fraction competition.

Within the event, the party developed and vowed single position of Adolat fraction for further promotion of its programme goals and tasks in law making process and implementation of legislative initiatives of the Uzbek President, vowed at the Concept on further deepening democratic reforms and forming civil society in Uzbekistan.

Shukhrat Yakubov, senior employee of Institute for Studying Civil Society, said that liberalization and modernization of political sphere, democratization and state and public construction, formation and functioning of bicameral parliament create real conditions for formation of “healthy political landscape”, free competition environment. Currently, political fractions at the parliament have intention to impact life of people, promote their gals and tasks through debates.
