Meetings on mutually beneficial cooperation were held

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chairman of the Committee on Tourism Umid Shadiev, taking part in the International Conference of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) on barrier-free tourism, holds meetings with leaders of the tourism industry of a number of foreign countries in order to establish bilateral relations and implementation of promising projects.

In particular, they discussed issues of establishing bilateral relations with the Minister of Tourism of San Marino F.P.Amati and signing a memorandum of understanding, interaction in the development of the Global Code of Safe Tourism within the UN on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and reached positive agreements.

Then, the sides discussed issues of further development of interaction with Italian Tourism Minister D. Santanshe, holding "Days of Culture, Cinema and Tourism" in the countries nominated by the presidents of the two states, as well as support for the development of the Global Code of Safe Tourism, and discussed issues of co-authorship.

At the meeting with Deputy Minister of Regional Development of the Czech Republic J. Fluksa discussed issues of bringing to a new level of cooperation, increase in tourist flow between the countries, establishment of Czech Airlines air service to Uzbekistan, work on the initiative to develop the Global Code of Safe Tourism.

Also in the dialogue with Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea Jang Mi-Ran an agreement was reached to ensure the participation of tourism companies in tourism fairs organized in the two countries and promote the establishment of close ties between them, discussed the establishment of training of employees of the Committee on Tourism in the Korean Cooperation Organization for Sustainable Tourism, attracting leading Korean teachers to the International Academy of Tourism in Samarkand and the International University of Tourism and Culture “Silk Road”.
