Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 20 January 2025, an important meeting took place between Munira Aminova, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Olgan Bekar, the Ambassador of Turkey to Uzbekistan, along with Ali Riza Tezcan, Head of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) Representative Office in Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the prospects of implementing joint projects in Uzbekistan with the involvement of Turkish grants and financial-technical support were discussed.
The participants emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation with TIKA and other Turkish institutions, such as the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA), the Space Technologies Research Institute of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK), as well as major Turkish companies operating in Uzbekistan.
Special attention will be given to projects in strategically important sectors such as healthcare, education, agriculture, and the preservation of Uzbekistan’s cultural and material heritage.
The sides expressed their readiness to further deepen bilateral cooperation and implement mutually beneficial initiatives.
