Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held at the Central Bank of Uzbekistan with representatives from ICBC Standard Bank and Franklin Templeton.

According to the regulator, the meeting focused on discussions regarding the macroeconomic situation and economic reforms in the country, current monetary policy, as well as measures aimed at developing the capital market and changes in the banking and financial system.

The foreign experts showed significant interest in Uzbekistan’s government securities, offering ideas for developing this market and increasing the volume of secondary trading based on international experience.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue cooperation aimed at enhancing the infrastructure of the government securities market in the future.
