Meeting on human trafficking held in Uzbek east

Representatives from the law enforcement agencies and universities in eastern Andijon, Namangan and Fargona regions attended the event held on 8 September, the newspaper said.

It also said that "participants in the conference noted that women’s committees, neighbourhoods, commissions for minors’ affairs of the local administrations, citizens’ self-governing bodies, the Kamolot youth movement and others should cooperate in fighting human trafficking".

The article also hailed the work being carried out in the country to fight human trafficking.
