Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 15 July 2025, a delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the leadership of the Central Bank of Malaysia (Bank Negara Malaysia).

During the visit, the Uzbek delegation was thoroughly acquainted with Malaysia's experience in licensing, supervising, and regulating the activities of Islamic banks and financial institutions, ensuring compliance with Shariah principles, as well as liquidity management practices.

The two sides also exchanged information on ongoing regulatory reforms, current domestic legal frameworks, and practical mechanisms in use.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the central banks of the two countries, including in the areas of knowledge exchange and sharing of best practices.
