Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 15 April 2025, a meeting took place at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan between Deputy Minister Ilkhomjon Umrzakov and a delegation from the Export-Import Bank of Korea, led by Executive Director of the Operations Group Um Song Yon.

Also participating in the meeting were the head of the bank’s representative office in Uzbekistan, Kan Sangjin, and other representatives. The visit aimed to strengthen economic ties between the two countries, specifically focusing on the development of cooperation within the framework of public-private partnerships (PPP) for infrastructure projects.

The parties discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation, with a particular emphasis on the development of healthcare projects using modern approaches and Korean experience in implementing PPPs. They also explored possibilities for financing infrastructure initiatives in Uzbekistan through the bank.

Following the talks, both sides expressed their willingness to continue dialogue and work on implementing mutually beneficial projects.
