Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 3 September, a massive Yangi Nafas sports race will be held in 16 cities of the country, timed to coincide with the celebration of the 32nd anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In every region and in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, runners, professional athletes and healthy lifestyle enthusiasts of all ages will be able to join a large-scale sports movement in honor of the main holiday of the country.

The 32nd anniversary of independence will be celebrated with the Yangi Nafas race in Tashkent, Nurafshan, Gulistan, Andijan, Namangan, Ferghana, Jizzakh, Samarkand, Navoi, Bukhara, Karaulbazar, Termez, Karshi, Guzar, Khiva and Nukus. In the capital, runners will be presented with two distances of 3 and 10 km, in other cities a single distance of 3 km.

The official slogan of the Yangi Nafas races is "One country, one start, one distance, one goal - let’s run together!" most accurately reflects the mood and general atmosphere of the celebration of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, uniting the inhabitants of the country from 7 to 70 years old.

It is worth noting that the Yangi Nafas mass races, traditionally organized on important state dates and international sporting events, are one of the clear examples of the implementation of the adopted large-scale state program for the development of physical culture and mass sports in the country and attracting the population to an active lifestyle within the framework of the Cabinet Resolution Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the "Concept for the development of physical culture and mass sports for the period 2019 - 2023". The target state program gradually attracts the attention of the population of the country to the issues of health promotion and improvement of the quality of life at all levels.

Over the three years of the implementation of the Yangi Nafas social project with the participation of the Athletics Federation of Uzbekistan and JSC Uzbekneftegaz, more than 700 thousand people have already joined mass races and continue to actively participate in sports events. The Yangi Nafas project, together with the mass races Save Aral, Men G’olib, Vatan Qalqoni, raised the interest in athletics to a new level, both among the youth and the adult generation.

The development of mass sports and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle among the population is an integral part of the social policy of New Uzbekistan.

Yangi Nafas is also becoming an international venue for runners. In addition to foreign citizens living in Uzbekistan and taking an active part in the races, the event brings together runners from Central Asian countries. Representatives of sports clubs from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan will arrive in Tashkent in September to participate in this holiday.

You can take part in the upcoming Yangi Nafas Independence Day race in Tashkent by registering until 31 August on the Iticket.uz website. Regardless of nationality, all runners can join the race.

To ensure wide access of all segments of the population to sports races, registration and participation in the regions of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Karakalpakstan in the race is free.

At the initiative of the Athletics Federation, quotas were allocated for the participation of citizens included in the "Unified Register of Social Protection", "iron", "women’s", "youth" notebooks in each region. Disabled runners are also regular participants in sports races and marathons.h
