Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A man who smoked onboard an airplane and caused a disturbance has been sentenced to 5 days of administrative arrest.
On 24 October, the Sergeli District Court for Criminal Cases in Tashkent reviewed the case against 35-year-old A.T., who created a scene during a flight.
According to the case materials, the incident occurred on a Uzbekistan Airways flight from Istanbul to Tashkent.
While in a state of intoxication, A.T. smoked cigarettes, used foul language towards the flight attendants, created a scandal, and disturbed the peace of other passengers.
The court found him guilty of petty hooliganism under Article 183 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Uzbekistan and sentenced him to 5 days of administrative arrest.
