Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, received the credentials of the first Ambassador of Malta to Uzbekistan, Carmelo Inguanez.
This marks the beginning of official diplomatic relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for developing bilateral relations, including:
Strengthening the Legal Framework: Establishing the necessary legal frameworks to develop cooperation.
Parliamentary Cooperation: Forming friendship groups in the parliaments of both countries.
Economic Cooperation: Activating trade and economic ties.
Tourism: Stimulating mutual tourist flows.
Education: Expanding cooperation in the education sector.
Additionally, an agreement was signed to mutually cancel visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports, which will promote high-level contacts.
The meeting between Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister and the Ambassador of Malta opens new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
