Malaysian envoy: Uzbekistan has everything for tourism development
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan has everything for development of tourism, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia Abdul Aziz Harun said at the Tashkent International Tourism Fair.

Abdul Aziz Harun said that Uzbekistan has everything for development of tourism – mountains, culture and heritage, favourable natural conditions and hospitable people. Uzbekistan has great potential for tourism development, he said.

The envoy said that tourists from the countries of Europe love such cities of Uzbekistan as Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Tashkent and others, where are heritage, recognized by the UNESCO.

Abdul Aziz Harun underlined that tourism is delicate issue and coordination of all structures, interested in developing tourism, should coordinate their work to develop tourism. He underlined that that all structure – from employees of migration services to translators – should work in coordination.

He said that tourism is developing both in Uzbekistan and Malaysia. He added that the countries fruitfully cooperate in the sector. According to him, about 11,000 tourists from Uzbekistan visited in Malaysia and 4,000 tourists from Malaysia paid visit to Uzbekistan in 2012.

The diplomat stated that the country also cooperate in education sector. He said that annually representatives of tourism sector underwent short-term education in Malaysi.

Abdul Aziz Harun said that Malaysian annually participates at Tashkent International Tourism Fair. He said that the fair is the largest tourism event in Central Asia and Malaysia tries not to miss this event.
