Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from Malaysian company Canaan Communication & Technologies, a leading provider of business process outsourcing (BPO) and IT services, visited Uzbekistan to assess the country’s infrastructure, workforce potential, and the success of other international companies operating in the region.

As part of the visit, a meeting was held with representatives of IT Park, led by its General Director Abdullakhad Kuchkarov.

Canaan Communication & Technologies, founded in 2016 and headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, specializes in BPO services, IT solutions, and workforce training. The company currently operates in Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines, with a workforce of over 500 employees.

During the discussions, Canaan Communication expressed interest in joining the Zero Risk program, establishing an office in the Syrdarya region, and recruiting specialists from Uzbekistan.

Company representatives highlighted Uzbekistan’s attractive tax incentives, IT VISA program, and favorable conditions for foreign investors in the IT sector. The parties also explored the region’s potential for creating a mobile application development hub and outsourcing contact centers.

Jihang Wang Zakkari, Head of Business Development at Canaan Communication, emphasized: “Uzbekistan has highly skilled professionals and a favorable business environment. We are considering launching training programs and engaging Uzbek IT specialists in international projects.”
