Machinery industry of Uzbekistan produces 145,067 automobiles

The industry produced 145,067 automobiles, which grew by 11.2% year-on-year. Production of lorries increased by 97.5%, specialized automobiles – 47.6%, buses –28.5% and automobiles – 10.4%.

The enterprises of the industry increased production of automobile engines by 40.4 times, trailers and semi-trailers for automobiles - 1.9 times, wheel disk - up 8.1% and the battery - 5.4%.

Uzbekistan also increased production of tractor trailers (84.8%), tractors (82.1%), balers – 3 times, harrows - 1.9 times, grain harvesters - 44.9%, tractor mowers – 31%.

Production of bare contact wires (for trolley buses) rose by 39.3%, fixed telephony cable (2 times), signal cable (1.8 times), wire hose – 30.9%, domestic wire – 13%, and adjusting wires – 3.5%.

The country also increased production of consumer goods such as washing machines (+16.9%), energy saving lamps (+45.2%) and TV-sets (20.2%).
