LUKoil Overseas and Tashkent city administration signed a memorandum of long-term cooperation in economy, humanitarian activity, improvement well-being of population and social development of the city on 25 April.
Within framework of memorandum, the sides took obligation to exchange information of mutual interest, hold joint consultations and meetings, establish necessary contacts with third parties and inform each other on such contacts.
The memorandum does not limit sides on development of other forms of cooperation in accordance with legislation of Uzbekistan. The agreement came to effect with signing moment and it is valid for three years.
This is the first such document signed by LUKoil Overseas in Uzbekistan. The similar documents will be signed with administration of Uzbek regions, where LUKoil Overseas is realizing production activity, in particular in Bukhara and Kashkadarya region.
Currently, LUKoil Overseas in cooperation with Uzbekneftegaz national holding company is realizing large investment project Kandym-Khausak-Shady-Kungrad in Uzbekistan. LUKoil Uzbekistan operational firm was registered in Uzbekistan and over 80% of its staff are Uzbek citizens. In assignment of contracts, the company gives priority to Uzbek companies.
LUKoil is carrying out wide-scale charity and sponsorship activity in Uzbekistan through supporting medical, educational, cultural and other social organization. The company said it will pay attention to realize social programmes along with implementation of its budget obligations.
