Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The first GFC champion from Uzbekistan, BUKA athlete Lilia Shakirova will hold her debut fight UFC 254 on October 24. American Lauren Murphy will compete in the flyweight. For Shakirova, this will be her UFC debut.

On 24 October, Abu Dhabi will host the UFC 254 mixed martial arts tournament. The main event of the tournament is the title fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and the interim lightweight champion (up to 70 kg) American Justin Gage.

As part of this tournament, the Uzbek player Lilia Shakirova will make her UFC debut. The fight will be against American Lauren Murphy (number 4 in the UFC rankings, record 13-4-0) Shakirova accepted the fight on short notice (8 days before the fight). The athlete’s record is 8-1-0.

This is the third UFC fighter from Uzbekistan, while Shakirova is the first female fighter and the only one who lives in Uzbekistan and trains in the BUKA Gym.
