Liberal Democratic Party starts collecting voter signatures to qualify for general election

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
The Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan has started collecting voter signatures in a bid to be legally allowed to participate in the 27 December parliamentary elections.
The party has started collecting signatures of voters supporting its participation in the forthcoming elections. A political party should collect at least 40,000 voter signatures to qualify to take part in the polls.
Currently, over 160,000 Uzbek citizens are currently members of the party. Over 7,000 local organizations act as its main support bodies in the localities.
Ahead of the elections, the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan is portraying itself as a strong, well-organized party, capable of winning voters’ trust.
