President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a resolution “On attracting foreign investments in sphere of developing information systems and software products”.

According to the resolution, LG CNS, Center for scientific-technical and marketing researches Unicon.uz and Uzbektelecom will create joint venture LG CNS Uzbekistan by the end of 2014. Share of LG CNS in the venture made up 51% and the Uzbek side – 49%.

LG CNS Uzbekistan will start its activities by the end of 2014 and will implement 15 projects with attraction of South Korean and Uzbek software developed within 2015. It is planned that the level of localization of software development will reach 60% by 2020.

The enterprise will also train specialists within implementation of the projects on introduction of complex of information systems and software products to the Electronic Government system and real sector of economy.
