Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Russia’s Leningrad region plans to open a trade house in Tashkent, according to the press service of the Russian trade mission in Uzbekistan.

The announcement followed a working meeting held at the Russian trade mission in Uzbekistan, in collaboration with the Russian Export Center, with Vera Shtokailo, General Director of the "Leningrad Region Industry Development Center."

The meeting focused on the creation of a trade center in Uzbekistan.

In addition to opening the trade house, the parties discussed the current cooperation between the Russian region and Uzbekistan.

The Russian trade mission in Uzbekistan noted that Russian regions are actively expanding their presence in the country. In Tashkent, there are already operational facilities such as the exhibition pavilion of Chelyabinsk Region, the showroom of the Ulyanovsk Region, the trade house of Tambov Region, and the representative offices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Tyumen Region, as well as the representative offices of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan.
