Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Starting from 1 April 2019, Uzbekistan adopts a procedure for approving candidates for deputy prime ministers, ministers and chairmen of state committees by the Oliy Majlis Chamber of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
This is envisaged by the decree "On priority measures to increase the responsibility of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the effectiveness of the implementation of the strategic objectives of the socio-economic development of the country."
From 1 April, the head of Uzbekistan also instructed to introduce an assessment of the activities of executive authorities at all levels and their leaders based on the achievement of specific indicators and target indicators, the quality and effectiveness of implementation of strategic development programs in the economic, social and other sectors for the near, medium and long term.
The government will hold thematic field (open) meetings in the regions with the participation of the heads of local executive authorities, territorial government bodies, representatives of public organizations to study the implementation of reforms in specific areas and areas.
From 1 April 2019, when considering and approving their candidacies in the Legislative Chamber, they present action plans that include legal, economic, social, organizational and technical measures related to the Cabinet of Ministers’s program of action, achievement of targets and objectives for the future.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with the members of the Government, quarterly submits to the chambers of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan a report on the implementation of the state program for the relevant year following from the President’s Address.
