Legislative Chamber considers execution of state budget
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan held a session on 11 June to discuss execution of the state budget of Uzbekistan and budgets of the state targeted funds for 2014 and the first quarter of 2015.

First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Finance of Uzbekistan Rustam Azimov delivered a report on execution of the state budget of Uzbekistan and budgets of the state targeted funds for 2014, the press service of the lower house of the parliament said.

At the session, it was noted that high figures of development were achieved due to positive structural reforms and positive trends in economy, efficient money-credit and tax-budget policy. The state budget was executed with 0.2% surplus to the GDP compared to forecast of 1% deficit to the GDP.

Execution of the state budget of Uzbekistan and budgets of the state targeted funds for 2014 was conducted in condition of sustainable and stable social-economic development of the country. Last year, the GDP of Uzbekistan grow by 8.1%, industrial output – 8.3%, agriculture production – 6.9%, capital construction – 10.9%, retail trade turnover – 14.3%. The inflation rate was lower than forecast volume and made up 6.1%.

Real income of population rose by 10.2%, while average monthly salary of the workers of the budget organizations, size of pensions, social allowances and stipends by 23.2%.

Representative of all political factions and MPs Group of Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan expressed their opinion on execution of the budget.

It was said that about 500 new enterprises were launched in Uzbekistan. Foreign trade balance was executed with surplus of US$180 million. The gold-currency reserves rose by US$1.6 billion.

About 58.8% of total expenses were directed to social sphere and social support of population. About 187 billion soums were directed to development of science, which rose by 13.6% year-on-year.

About 547.2 billion soums were directed to protect environment. About 18.6 billion soums were allocated to protection of water and land resources, 7.1 billion soums – to protect flora and fauna, as well as 7.3 billion soums – protect bio diversity.

After discussion, the MPs approved the report on execution of the state budget and budgets of the state targeted funds of Uzbekistan for 2014.

In the second half of the day, the MPs considered report on execution of the state budget and budgets of the state targeted funds of Uzbekistan for the first quarter of 2015.

It was said that the state budget was executed with the surplus. The economy of Uzbekistan grew by 7.5% in the first quarter of 2015.

Industrial output rose by 7.9% in January-March 2015, agriculture production 6.3%, services – 13.1% and retail trade – 15.2%.

About 434 new production objects were launched in Uzbekistan in the first quarter of 2015 and over 8,000 new small businesses were registered. The measures were adopted to construction of 12,000 individual houses on standard projects in rural areas with necessary engineer-communication and social infrastructure.

About 55 state assets were sold to private sector, including 13 objects on zero redemption price for investment obligation of 9.7 billion soums.

After the discussions, the Legislative Chamber approved the report on execution of the state budget and budgets of the state targeted funds of Uzbekistan for the first quarter of 2015.
