Legislative Chamber Approves Law Supporting Entrepreneurs Providing Services to Children with Disabilities
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis reviewed a draft law aimed at supporting the activities of entrepreneurs providing social services and assistance to children with disabilities.
The country is undertaking extensive work to improve the system of social services for children with disabilities, including in the field of education, and to create additional conditions for their learning and upbringing.
At the same time, with the growing number of entities providing social services to children with disabilities and the expansion of the social services market, there is a need to support entrepreneurs operating in this sector, as well as to provide additional benefits to the users of their services.
The draft law stipulates that until 1 January 2030, entrepreneurs providing day-care services for children with disabilities under public-private partnerships will be exempt from all taxes (excluding social tax).
In addition, it establishes that monthly payments by parents (or their substitutes) for services for children with disabilities, up to 3 million soums, will be classified as income not subject to taxation.
It is emphasized that the provisions of the draft law are aimed at supporting entrepreneurs providing social services to children with disabilities, as well as improving the living conditions of families raising such children.
After active discussion, the draft law was adopted in its second reading.
