According to the regulation, Central Bank of Uzbekistan will issue permissions to opening of the accounts at the banks abroad in line with submitted applications, Norma.uz said.
Diplomatic missions and other offices of Uzbekistan, representative offices of Uzbek organizations abroad, which cannot carry commercial activities, can open accounts abroad without permission for the term of their activities in foreign states. After their operations ended, the accounts should be closed and balance should be transferred to accounts in Uzbekistan.
The authorized banks can also have correspondent and other accounts at the banks abroad, which is used for international settlements and placement of deposits, without permissions.
The legal entities – residents of Uzbekistan can open foreign account to implement goals, indicated in the application. The goals should comply with requirements of the legislation of Uzbekistan and international agreements, signed by Uzbekistan. The applicant should also regularly provide information on movement of money in their accounts abroad.
The Central Bank of Uzbekistan will not levy duty for consideration of application for opening of account at the banks abroad. If there is requirement to prolong the term of opening of account, the applicants should submit request to the Central Bank. The document also regulates other issues.
