Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 7 October, the Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, met with the President of the Turkish company Anadolu Isuzu, Bora Koçak.

During the conversation, the parties discussed practical steps for engaging the company in the state privatization program in Uzbekistan and the implementation of projects in the automotive industry. The current activities of the Anadolu Group holding in Uzbekistan were also reviewed, including projects in the food production sector.

As a result of the meeting, both sides confirmed their readiness to deepen cooperation and provide comprehensive support for the Turkish company’s activities in the country.

Founded in 1984, Anadolu Isuzu is a subsidiary of the Turkish holding Anadolu Group and is one of the leading manufacturers of buses and commercial vehicles. The privatization process of the SamAuto plant is ongoing in Uzbekistan, with Anadolu Group (Anadolu Isuzu) actively participating.

During the Uzbek-Turkish business forum held on June 6 in Ankara, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Anadolu Isuzu, the State Assets Management Agency, and Uzavtosanoat JSC regarding the sale of the controlling stake in SamAuto.
