Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 24 July 2024, Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade Laziz Kudratov met with Humayid Al Rumaiti, the Chief Administrative Officer of Silal, a company from the United Arab Emirates.

Silal, founded in 2020, is a subsidiary of ADQ Holding from the UAE. It is a leader in the production, marketing, and distribution of fresh fruits and vegetables. Today, Silal manages more than 10 packing and distribution centers and grows over 100,000 tons of fresh fruits, berries, and vegetables annually. The company also supplies food products to major supermarket chains like Carrefour, Lulu, and Coop.

During the meeting, representatives of Silal were introduced to the opportunities available for implementing investment projects in Uzbekistan’s agriculture and food industry. New, promising project initiatives were also proposed.

In response, the Emirati side praised the favorable business climate created in Uzbekistan and expressed readiness to collaborate on projects related to fruit and vegetable cultivation and processing, as well as organizing supply chains for high-demand products to the UAE and other Middle Eastern markets.
