The Uzbek ministry’s press service said that the sides discussed issues of the Uzbek-Latvian cooperation in various areas.

The sides underlined that trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Latvia showed positive dynamics, which rose by 44% to US$192.5 million.

Regular freight transportation from Riga through Navoi intermodal transcontinental hub opened new perspectives for contacts among business circles, as well as logistic structures. The sides considered issues of regional and international characters of mutual interest.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Latvia to Uzbekistan Igors Apokins participated at the negotiations.
