During the meeting, Artis Pabriks will hold meeting with the Minister of Defense of Uzbekistan Kabul Berdiev. The sides will discuss issues of bilateral cooperation in defense, transit of non-military cargoes from and to Afghanistan, regional security, cooperation between Uzbekistan and NATO and others.

Pabriks also will hold talks with the Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and Inter-Parliamentary Relations of the Legislative Chamber Latif Gulyamov, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov and Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade Elyor Ganiev.

It is expected that the sides will consider issues of Latvian-Uzbek interaction, including economic cooperation.
