Member of Uzbekistan boxing team Sulaymon Latipov won the silver medal of the Youth Olympic Games in the boxing competition at the weight category of 49 kg.

In the final bout Sulaymon Latipov lost to Rufat Huseynov from Azerbaijan and claimed the second place.

Currently, Uzbekistan won nine medals of the Youth Olympic Games: three gold, three silver and three bronze medals.
