The Uzbek office will build cooperative networks with the local financial institutions including the Uzbek’s central bank so that Korean companies could gain closer access to project orders in Central Asia, the EX-IM Bank said.
The Korean bank said it also signed a $30 million inter-bank export credit deal with Uzbek’s largest state-run bank National Bank of Uzbekistan and a similar $40 million deal with the second-largest Asaka Bank on Wednesday.
In Central Asia, Korea Eximbank has concluded a total of 300 million worth export credit deals with 11 banks in three countries to date, supporting exports from Korea into the region, the bank said.
