Kholmumin Yodgorov Elected Chairman of Uzbekistan’s Supreme Judicial Council

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 11 August 2025, a session of the Senate Council of the Oliy Majlis was held under the chairmanship of Tanzila Narbayeva.

One of the key agenda items was the election of the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Upon the President’s recommendation, the Senate Council adopted a resolution appointing Kholmumin Yodgorov to this position.

During the meeting, information was presented on the activities of the Supreme Judicial Council over the past five years. It was noted that significant work has been carried out during this period to form the judicial corps, ensure the independence and inviolability of judges, and prevent corruption within the judicial system.

It was emphasized that the implemented reforms have elevated the functioning of the judiciary to a new qualitative level and contributed to strengthening public trust in the judicial system.

Senators also voiced their proposals and recommendations regarding the matter under consideration.
