Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Akmaljon Makhmudaliev, khokim of Syrdarya region, has been relieved of his duties.

The decision was made due to significant shortcomings in his work, including insufficient focus on attracting investments, developing agriculture, and addressing other critical aspects of regional activities.

This was announced during a video conference meeting chaired by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The meeting reviewed the region’s performance in attracting investments and increasing exports, while outlining key tasks for the future.
