Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Ahmetov was welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Gulomjon Ibragimov at Tashkent airport.

In the second half of the day, Serik Ahmetov will hold negotiations with his Uzbek counterpart Shavkat Mirziyayev. After the talks, it is planned to sign several documents.

On the same day, Serik Ahmetov will be received by the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov.

During the talks, the sides are planning to consider bilateral cooperation in trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian areas, as well as in water-energy sectors.
