Kazakh leader appoints new envoy to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev appointed a new ambassador of the country to Uzbekistan, the press service of the Kazakh president said.

In line with the presidential decree, Boribay Jeksembin was appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan.

Boribay Jeksembin will replace at this post Zautbek Turisbekov, who was appointed as envoy to Russia in August 2009.

Boribay Jeksembin, 57, worked as governore of Jambyl region of Kazakgstan from May 2004 to November 2009.
