Kasimov hopes Akhmedov to recover from injury soon
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbekistan head coach Mirjalal Kasimov expressed hope that injury of Odil Akhmedov, who was injured during the match of Krasnodar at the Russian Premier League, is not serious and he will recover from it soon.
In his interview to Interfutbol newspaper Kasimov said that he talked with Akhmedov. He said Akhmedov is in good mood and after the first medical examinations, doctors revealed muscle tear. This is not serious injury and it will require several weeks of rehabilitation.
Kasimov added that Odil Akhmedov will undergo detailed medical examination, which will help to determine seriousness of the injury. He expressed hope that the injury is not serious.
Uzbekistan coach said that in any case it takes three weeks to treat such injuries. He noted that Akhmedov is hard working player and this is important during rehabilitation.
Kasimov said that he plans to include Odil Akhmedov to his squad to the AFC Asian Cup, which will be held in January 2015 in Australia.
