Kabul school bombing death toll rises to 85

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At least 85 people were killed, 150 were injured as a result of explosions near a school that occurred on Saturday in the capital of Afghanistan - Kabul. This was announced on Monday by the Afghan TV channel Ariana news, citing a representative of the country’s second vice president.

According to him, three consecutive explosions occurred in front of a public school for girls in Kabul. The first was a car bomb exploded near the school. Then two home-made devices detonated.

At the moment, no one has claimed responsibility for the explosions that occurred. The radical Taliban movement denies any involvement in the incident.

Earlier, Reuters reported the death of 55 people and 150 injured. According to TOLOnews, by Sunday the death toll had risen to 63, with the majority of those killed being students.

Afghan leader Ashraf Ghani called the incident a terrorist act and blamed the radical Taliban for it. Meanwhile, 1TV reported that the Taliban condemned the attack.
