Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Judoka Elbek Abdullayev has been suspended for four years for using illegal substances. This was reported by the press service of the National Anti-Doping Agency.
The vice-champion of Uzbekistan in December 2021 underwent a doping test during the competition. Doping was found in the athlete’s body.
The agency notes that testosterone, anastrozole, boldenone and oxandrolone, banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency, were found in more than four members of the national team.
The Ethics Commission under the National Anti-Doping Agency of Uzbekistan decided to disqualify Elbek Abdullayev for 4 years. The period of disqualification is set from 3 March 2022 to 2 March 2026.
